The Eurovision 2026 grand final in Vienna is deciding its winner tonight, with Australia's Delta Goodrem and Malta among the early frontrunners as jury votes roll in.
The 70th Eurovision Song Contest grand final has performed all 25 acts. Now the continent is deciding who takes home the trophy — and the early jury votes produced some surprises.
Voting is underway at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 grand final in Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle, with jury results rolling in from countries across Europe and beyond. Australia, represented by Delta Goodrem performing “Eclipse,” and Malta have emerged as strong early performers in the jury phase, collecting multiple sets of 12 points as the tally climbs. Italy and Bulgaria also featured prominently in the early rounds.
The bookmakers’ favorite heading into the night was Finland, whose entry “Liekinheitin” (“Flamethrower”) — a duet between pop singer Pete Parkkonen and classical violinist Linda Lampenius — generated some of the loudest crowd reaction of the entire show. According to SBS Australia’s live blog, footage of Lampenius sprinting the length of the stage in heels during the performance immediately went viral.
The United Kingdom’s entry, Look Mum No Computer (musician Sam Battle), performed “Eins, Zwei, Drei” with performers dressed as computers. The act entered as a rank outsider and, per the jury phase updates, has been collecting near-zero scores from national juries, consistent with recent British Eurovision fortunes. The UK’s jury results were delivered by drag star La Voix, fresh from a season on Strictly Come Dancing, serving as the country’s first Eurovision “spokesqueen.”
The final is co-hosted by Austrian stars Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski, with Graham Norton providing commentary for UK viewers on BBC One. The Manchester Evening News’s live coverage noted that Czech act Daniel Žižka dealt with technical difficulties during his performance, with camera lines visible on the broadcast and a cameraman briefly caught in frame. The winner, decided by a combination of national jury votes and the public televote, will be announced before the night is over.
The 2026 contest is the 70th edition of Eurovision and is hosted in Vienna following JJ’s 2025 victory with “Wasted Love.” Twenty-five countries competed in the final, with five additional countries opting out this year in protest over Israel’s participation. Whichever country wins tonight will host the contest in 2027.
