Local officials announced Friday, March 20, that schools in Northbrook and Glenview will remain closed until at least April 8, following Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s “shelter-in-place” order.

Schools in Districts 27, 28, 30, 31, 34 and 225 — members of the Glenview/Northbrook COVID-19 Task Force — released a joint statement detailing the closure extension, which is the task force's latest preventive measure attempting to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Additionally, the Northbrook and Glenview park districts and public libraries will also remain closed until at least April 8.
