Corn-on-the-cob was a new treat for those who attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help’ annual Block Party, an event not just for parishioners but for the entire Glenview community, on Saturday, Sept. 9.

A crowd gathered around the table waiting patiently as three OLPH Men’s Club members cooked the fresh sweet corn. Bottles of melted butter along with salt and pepper shakers sat on the tables. Bags of more than 2,000 ears of the newly picked corn from Didier Farms lay nearby.
