The North Suburban YMCA's new Junior Executive Board came together around the time that the Lollapalooza music festival returned to Chicago, member Matt Brown said.
And on the evening of Sept. 15, the board hosted a music festival of its own.
YFest, held in the YMCA gym, was open to all area high school students. More than 400 people attended the event, which raised money for Erika's Lighthouse, a Winnetka-based organization that aims to educate the community about teen and adolescent depression.
The evening featured music from Glenview bands Zaramela and Last Resort, among others.
